Ten Things I Liked About the LSAT That Aren't True of Law School
- There is always one right answer on the LSAT.
- You don't have to know anything about law to do well on the LSAT.
- More than one person can get a perfect score on the LSAT.
- Once you study for the LSAT and take it, you never have to do it again if you don't want to.
- Nobody ever died or lost their life savings because of the LSAT.
- The LSAT isn't written entirely by people who did well on the LSAT.
- No one will ever find out your LSAT score unless you tell them; you will never find out anyone else's LSAT score unless you ask.
- You don't need to know proper English grammar to get a perfect score on the LSAT, let alone proper citation style.
- LSAT ethics are no more complex or distasteful than "don't cheat".
- It only costs about $100 to take the LSAT.

Note the impending e-move...
We're going to close the book on this subdomain and set up shop over at the more generic blog.mikeshecket.com. I want to wrap things up here with a few final law school related notes, but I haven't thought of what I'm going to say yet. But then we'll move over to the glorious, WordPress-based new blog!

I've never been to the Alrosa Villa, and I'm sure as hell not going there now, smoking ban or no. That place is about four miles due south of me, and they're talking about it in China, for instance...because people got SHOT there.

My plan, in a nutshell
- Finish applying to the OSU M.Ed. program in Math, Science, and Technology Education.
- Take a leave of absence from law school starting next semester.
- Use Winter and Spring Quarters to take the science content courses I didn't already do in undergrad that I need for Ohio teacher licensure (for example, I didn't take any chemistry in college at all).
- Hope I get in.
- Start the program in summer '05, finish summer '06.
- Get a jorb as a high school physics teacher, autumn '06.

Okay, maybe forget what I said before. I think my main goal is to wrap things up here in a way consistent with my original statement of purpose, from which I've strayed very, very far from time to time. Then I figure that if I want to keep blogging, I'll start a new blog, with this one remaining just sort of static for people who want to read about what law school is like.
However much this has turned into a giant ego thing, I like to think my original purpose was to help people in some meager way.

Remember the times I mentioned that I couldn't wait to be able to say what I really think? Well, that day is coming soon...case in point, I think I'm going to post all my grades on here.
I'm sorry if the site looks weird in Safari. I'll try to figure out what the problem is, but I'm not gonna try too hard...you non-Mozilla using freaks!!!
